Bio

Dudley Rountree is the son of Voltier Rountree and Francis Louisa Fitzhugh Rountree of Collin County, Texas. He was a farmer most of his life and worked as a brakeman on the railroad in Union County, New Mexico. He married Gertie England in Collin County on 28 May 1893. They came to Union County, New Mexico in 1906. They had two daughters, Ressie Rountree McCarley of Clayton, NM and Lela Rountree Crossett of Amarillo, Texas. Dudley's sister is Ida Rountree Coffey of McKinney, TX and sister Ada Rountree died at age 14 in McKinney. Gertie's brother is A.L. England of Clayton, NM. (Allen Rountree)
