Bio
Joyce Marie Tynes, 80, of Waco, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016, in Waco. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 6, at OakCrest Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 7, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Father Cyril officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Joyce was born Woodsboro, Texas, to the late Fred Frank Cocek Sr. and Georgia Ann Nemecek Cocek. She graduated from Bishop High School and attended Providence School of Nursing and graduated from MCC where she became a Registered Nurse. Joyce married Dalton E. Tynes on February 11, 1955. She worked for the VA Hospital in Waco for 29 years. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead, and the Catholic Daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton; a grandson, Dalton Mitchell Tynes; and a great-granddaughter, Cate McCafferty. Survivors include her best buddy, Pancho; daughters, Dalene London and husband, Carl, and Ann Goldsmith and husband, Mike; sons: William "Joey" Tynes, Phillip Tynes and wife, Tracy, Blake Tynes and Autsuko; as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren Waco Tribune-Herald: 6/4/2016 - 6/5/2016...B22
