The Anniston Star, Monday, October 28, 1963 PIEDMONT -- Mrs. Lizzie Rainey, 64, of 508 Southern Ave., died Sunday, October 27, 1963, at 4:45 p.m. at Piedmont Hospital after a brief illness. A resident of Piedmont most of her life, she was the wife of the late Orbey J. Rainey, Sr. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 29 at 2:30 p.m. at Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Sanford Willis and Rev. Orace Vanderford officiating. Burial was in Goshen Valley Cemetery under the direction of Gray Brown-Service Funeral Home of Piedmont. Pallbearers were Lloyd Rainey, Ray Rainey, Willis Rainey, Noble Lane, James Lane, and Franklin Lane. Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Mattie Gaddy, Mrs. Alma Albea, Mrs. Eula McFry, Mrs. Evelyn Donaldson, all of Piedmont, Mrs. Bessie Warmack of Anniston, and Mrs. Willie Gaddy of Jackson, Georgia; four sons, O. J. Rainey, Jr., LeRoy Rainey, Jessie E. Rainey and Harold C. Rainey, all of Piedmont; 26 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
