Bio
Dollie Rose Hawkins was born March 13, 1944 in Hill County, Texas to Notie Mae Lowe Pope and Jack Hawkins. She was survived by husband Bobby Joe Preston, Sr, who died in 2011. Their five children survive them. His obit states they were married in 1959 in Oklahoma. Her childhood was spent around Texas including Hill County, Lamb County and Wichita County. Sorrow visited the family too often, especially the loss of three siblings in early childhood; James Allen Hawkins 1946-1946, Bobby Don Hawkins 1949-1963 and Judy Lynn Hawkins 1953-1968.
