Daughter of George & Bonnie (Conner) Brewer. Married to Eldon Kovarik. From the Grand Island, NE. "Independent) Newspaper: A 72-year-old Taylor woman was killed Tuesday morning when her vehicle collided with a semi-tractor trailer. Loup County Attorney Jason White said Margaret Kovarik was killed in the accident that occurred at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday 19 1/2 miles west of Taylor on Highway 91. White said Kovarik was making her rounds as a rural mail carrier in a GMC Yukon at the time of the accident. She was driving south on West End Road when she collided with the semi driven west on Highway 91 by David Koszak, 55, of Taylor. There is a stop sign on West End Road, but White did not know if Kovarik had stopped before attempting to cross the highway. The semi struck the sport utility vehicle behind the driver's-side door, White said. Both vehicles came to rest in the south ditch. Kovarik was dead at the scene, White said. Koszak was not injured. There were no passengers in either vehicle, White said. He knew of no factors contributing to the accident, which was investigated by the Loup County Sheriff's Department.
