Bio

Loretta Jean Long, 60, of Fort Worth, Texas died June 28, 2015, at her home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burwell. Burial will be in the Cottonwood Cemetery in Burwell. The Rev. Josh Brown will officiate. Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell is in charge of arrangements. Jean was born Feb. 13, 1955, in Burwell to Eldon and Margaret Melrae (Brewer) Kovarik. Survivors include a daughter, Teresa and Mike Rose of Wichita Falls, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Deb Long of Valentine; four grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters, Linda Kovarik of North Loup, Ray and Darcia Kovarik of Taylor, Mike Kovarik of Lexington, Chris and Tom Sherman of Genoa, Brad and Gayla Kovarik of Seneca, Brian and Pam Kovarik of Denver, Colo., Bill and Donna Kovarik of Lincoln, Steve and Debie Kovarik of Woodward, Okla., and Martin and Shelly Kovarik of Kearney. She was preceded in death by a son, Zane Long.
