Bio

Brince T. Tillis Sr. of 1331 SE 43rd St. died Tuesday at his home. He was 88. Mr. Tillis was a native of Waldo and lived here since 1928. He was a veteran of World war 1 and was a member of the United Church of Christ. He is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou Stevens of Jacksonville and Ruby Mae Bryant of Jacksonville; three sons,Brince T. Tillis Jr. of Earlton, William F. Tillis of Lakeland, and Joseph S. Tillis of Gainesville; a brother, Roy M. Tillis of Gainesville; a sister, Lucille Reynolds of Orlando; seven grandchildren; and three great grand-sons. The Gainesville Sun, Feb 1985, Page , Column 5
