Bio
Frank Moravek, the son of Gwendolyn (Emery) and Kenneth R. Moravek, was born September 4, 1947 at Red Cloud, Nebraska. He departed this life on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 7 days. Frank grew up in the Guide Rock community and received his formal education attending the Guide Rock schools, graduating with the class of 1966. He was employed for a time with Dutton Lainson Company in Hastings and later with Reinke Manufacturing at Deshler, Nebraska. For many years Frank traveled with his family working with the custom harvest crew. He was united in marriage with Ellamae Ewer on December 15, 1968 at Guide Rock, Nebraska. This union was blessed with a daughter, Peggy. Frank was a lifelong Nebraska Husker football fan and also enjoyed fishing in his leisure time. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ellamae, of Superior, Nebraska; daughter, Peggy Moravek of Blue Hill, Nebraska; brother, George Moravek of Riverhood, New York; sister, Ruth Moravek of Kasson, Minnesota; nieces and nephews, Lynn Schomburg, Ann Sneiders, Ken Schomburg, Lee Schomburg and Karen Drill; grand nieces and nephews, Katrina Benson, Garth Benson, Quinn Schomburg, Case Schomburg, Emily Drill, Thomas Drill, Jacob Sneiders and Sarah Sneiders, Andrew Schomburg, Jeffrey Schomburg, Robbie Schomburg and Elizabeth Schomburg, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10:30 a.m., May 14, 2016 at the Williams Funeral Home in Red Cloud with Missy Wilt officiating. Interment will be at the Guide Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday and Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to service time.
