Rebecca Jane Kemp Forbes was born on November 16, 1867 at Alton, Indiana to Abraham and Catherine Sheckells Kemp. She died on August 31, 1904 at Tower, Indiana. She married Nathaniel L. Forbes on August 27, 1891 in Crawford County Indiana. Five children were born to this union: Cecil Belle Forbes, Harry H. Forbes, Orvel Forbes, Olive D. Forbes, Virgie Delores Forbes Parkhill. Burial was in Everdon Cemetery.
