Bio

William Wade Johnson was born January 20, 1979 in Arkansas, son of John Wesley Johnson and Josephine (McElheny) Johnson. In 1902, he married Bessie Elliott in Lamar County, Texas. Their 4 children are Jo 'Lillian' (1903); Wade Elliott (1905); Marjorie Mae (1908) and William Wade Johnson, Jr. (1910). His wife, Bessie, died in 1910. On March 15, 1911, he married Mable Claire Medlin. Their 5 children are Gerald Dean (1913); Wahnita Jeanette (1915), James Ralph (1917); Authula Atherene (1920) and Charles Durwood Johnson. In 1930, they lived in Winkler County, TX. In 1945, they moved to Midland, TX. He worked as a building contractor. On Monday, February 6, 1956, William W. Johnson of 505 E. Estes Ave, recently becoming age 77, died of a stroke at his home in Midland. Arrangements were with Ellis Funeral Home.
