Bio

Golda was the daughter of M. Thomas and Pearlie Ione Mills Gunn. She grew up in San Antonio, TX. She married John Jackson in 1913. She later married Barney William Gilbreath in May 29, 1927 and he preceded her in death. She then married George Albert Barter in August 3, 1955 in Las Vegas, Nev. and he also preceded her in death. She is survived by five daughters, Mae Dell Robinson of Choctaw, Lela Opal Gilbreath of McAlester, Nita Virginia Buckley, Hilo, Hawaii, Smiles Dunn, Ridgway, CO, and Jeannine Glory Willett, Selah, Wash.; a half sister and her husband, Rhonda Ruth May Taylor and Ray, Malakoff, TX; a son in law, Melvin E. Dunn, Ridgway, Colo.; a brother and sister in law, John Dyer and Estelle Gilbreath, Sundown Texas; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Marion Thomas, Marsellas James and Milton Eugene Dunn; a sister, Anna Mae McFadden; a son, Barney Elwood Gilbreath; a daughter, Johnnie Ioma Harris; a grandson, Joel Glendon Robison; and five sons in law.
