Krebs--Graveside services for George A. Barter, painter who once served in the British Navy, will be Thursday, at 10 a.m., in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. The Masonic Lodge of Krebs will be in charge of the final rites. The Mills Funeral Hoe of McAlester is in charge of arrangements. Barter died Monday following an apparent heart attack. He was born July 29, 1899 in Halifax, Nova Soctia. He was married to Golda Iona Gunn in 1953. He had lived in this area for two years, moving to Krebs from Canton, Texas. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Survivors include the wife and a son Charles of Boston, Mass.
