CHANEY, ORA ALICE ELIZABETH JOHNSTON. After 98 years and one day, Ora Alice Elizabeth Johnston Chaney left this earth and entered into the presence of her Lord with joy. Born August 27, 1904 to George and Mary Emma Johnston in Mississippi. Our precious "Big Mother" passed away August 28, 2002 in Forney, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Zereth C. Chaney, Sr.; daughter Naoma Landers; son-in-law Bill McMillan, daughter-in-law Dorothy Chaney; five brothers and four sisters, she is survived by son Zereth Chaney, Jr.; daughters Vivian McMillan, Janell McMahan(Ward), Beth Crocker (Bryant) and Ouida Williams (Harold); 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and a host of beloved family and friends. A wonderful example of Christ's love at work, Mrs. Chaney was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church for 50 years. Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at Bethel Bapt. Church, 9814 Ferguson Rd., Dallas. Rev. C.D. Walker, Rev. Ronnie J. Chesser, Rev. J. D. Hudson officiating. Interment to follow at Haven of Memories - Canton. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30pm Fri. at Anderson Clayton, Mesquite. Interment Services @ 3:30 PM Sat, at Eubank Chapel-Canton, Tx.
