Bio

Mrs. Stella Evans, age 76, of San Augustine, passed from this life on Saturday, March 12, 2016, in Lufkin. She was born to Reba (Scott) Shipman and George Bryant Shipman on February 12, 1940, in Dayton, Texas. She married Bob Evans in December of 1959, and along with her late husband Bob Evans, they owned and operated Evans Equipment in San Augustine for many years. Earlier in her life, she was baptized at the Gum Grove Baptist Church, and attended the Baptist Church. Those who are left to cherish her memory include, Her Sons, David Evans and his wife, Deborah and Larry Evans and his wife, Jacquelyn; Her daughters, Connie Evans, and Cathy Albritton and her husband, John; Her beloved grandchildren, Justin Evans and his fiancee' Lauren; Jared Evans and his wife, Mila; Emily Evans and Jacob Evans; Great-grandchild, Cadi Evans; Sister, Iva Mae Kersh; Brothers, Hervey Shipman and his wife, Barbara; Leo Shipman; Curt Shipman and his wife, Linda and John Shipman and his wife, Linda, along with numerous nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob Evans in June of 2011; her parents, George Bryant Shipman and Reba (Scott) Shipman; and Brothers, George Shipman and LeRoy Shipman. Funeral Services will be held in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in the Liberty Hill Memorial Garden in San Augustine County, Texas. Pallbearers ... Honorary Pallbearers ...
