Glen Erwin LeFever was born June 16, 1931, in Loup City to Ed and Carrie (Heil) LeFever. The family lived near Rockville for 10 years before moving to Ravenna. Glen received his education at Rose Valley School near Rockville and Ravenna Public School. In the 1950s, Glen began to work at the Ford Garage in Ravenna. In 1956, Glen entered the U.S. Army, reaching the rank of specialist fourth class. He served for two years with part of the time in Germany. He married Mary Margaret Rowley of Litchfield on Sept. 11, 1956. When he came home from the service in 1958, they made their home in Litchfield where he opened LeFever Garage. He also drove a school bus for the Litchfield School. In 1961, the family moved to a farm 2½ miles east of Litchfield where he lived for 54 years. He then moved to Broken Bow where he lived with his daughter. In October 2015, he became a resident of Rose Lane Home in Loup City. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed visiting with people, loved children and enjoyed working with his hands in his garage. The farm and cattle were his life, and he enjoyed them to the fullest. He liked going to his children’s and grandchildren’s activities. Survivors include three daughters and spouses, Vesta and husband Les Roberts of Broken Bow, Becky and husband Mike Jaeschke of Kenesaw and Susan LeFever and Duane Linden of Litchfield; son, Brian and wife Nancy LeFever of Litchfield; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
