Thanks to contributor #48796369 Mary LeFever, 67, of Litchfield died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at Sandhills Manor in Broken Bow. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Litchfield Christian Church. The Rev. Ken Woolery will officiate. Burial will be in the Litchfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church. Rasmussen Mortuary in Ravenna is in charge of arrangements. Mary Margaret LeFever was born March 5, 1936, in Gothenburg to Ivan and Abbie (Johns) Rowley. Survivors of the immediate family include her husband, Glen; three daughters and a son-in-law, Vesta LeFever of Broken Bow, Becky and Mike Jaeschke of Kenesaw and Susan LeFever of Litchfield; and a son, Brian LeFever of Litchfield. Also surviving are her daughter Vesta's special friend, Lester Roberts of Broken Bow; her daughter Susan's special friend, Duane Linden of Litchfield; her son's special friend, Nancy Durbala of Litchfield; and ninegrandchildren, Erin and Luke LeFever, Matthew, Kelsey and Jenna Jaeschke, Rachel and Derik Linden and Nathan and Wesley Pickering. Mrs. LeFever received her education in various Custer County schools. She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1954. She attended Kearney State Teachers College and taught in rural schools for eight years. She was baptized and joined the Litchfield Christian Church in 1953. She married Glen LeFever on Sept. 11, 1956, in Pleasanton. They made their home on a farm east of Litchfield. Mary taught Sunday School, was a song leader at the church, helped with Vacation Bible School and was president of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers, chickens, cooking, helping others in need and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Don Rowley; and an infant son, Harold.
