Rosary for Elizabeth Vrana Marek, 86, of Bartlett was Wed Aug 23 at 7 PM at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett. Funeral services were 10 AM on Thurs Aug 24 at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger with Father Joseph Nisari officiating. Burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger. She died Thurs Aug 22 at Will-O-Bell Nursing Home in Bartlett. Elizabeth Vrana Marek was born Nov 14, 1919 to John and Frances (Kachlirs) Vrana in Granger. She lived in the Granger/Bartlett area all of her life and was a member of SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger and the KJZT. She married Henry V Marek on Aug 25, 1936. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, John and Frances Vrana; brothers, John Vrana, Frank Vrana, Stanley Vrana, Josef Vrana and Rudolph Vrana; and sisters Hattie Machac and Annie Motloch. Survivors include her husband, Henry V Marek; daughters, Henrietta Haessly and husband John of Spring, Irene Schwertner and husband Randall of Schwertner, Margaret Eichelberger of the The Woodlands, and Carolyn Kaderka and husband Harold of Bartlett; sons, Alvin A Marek and Sharon Christensen of Bartlett, Victor V Marek and wife Modene of Schwertner and Dennis D Marek and wife Teresa of Bartlett. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren surviving her are Tom Haessly and fiance Paty Olachea, Andrea Guyer, Tanya and Mat Hamlin and Greyson, Robert Haessly, Harold and Debbie Marek, Amber Elliott and Alexavier, David and Rene Marek, Kenneth and Deanna Marek, Michael and Keaton, Alan and Pam Marek, Joseph, Anna and Kaci, Aron Marek, Jessica Page and Sophia, Vic and Danita Marek, Michelle, Pamela and Hannah, Dale and Misty Marek, Colten and Cheyenne, Jessica Marek and fiance Garrett Wilkins, Dawn and Stephen Walker, McKenna and Kaegan, D'Ann and Chris Orr and Corbin, Diedra Schwertner, Keith Krause and LeTesia Callahan, Korey, Kiefer and Jackie, Kevin Krause, Brandi Richey, Madison and Julian, Kyle Marek, Krissy Rios and Anthony and Jake and Kurt Kaderka.
