Louis A. Vrana, 92, of Georgetown, TX passed away on April 22, 2008 in Round Rock, TX. Louis was born on February 20, 1916 in Granger, TX to John and Frances Kachlir Vrana. On November 16, 1938 he married Cecilia Motloch in Granger, TX. He was a farmer and was also employed by The University of Texas at Austin in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Catholic Workman and St. Isidore Society #13. Louis is survived by his wife, Cecilia Vrana of Georgetown and his children, Lillian Dobias and husband, Bernard of Pflugerville, TX, Catherine Karkoska and husband Darwin, of Granger, TX, Patricia Kubicek and husband A.J. of Pearland, TX , Louis David Vrana and wife Jerlene of Westphalia, TX, Monica Rychlik and husband Albert of Georgetown, TX, his sisters, Frances Vrana of Austin, TX and Mary Tubbs of Bryan, TX. He was preceded in death by a great grandson, Daniel Gausemeier, sisters, Hattie Machac, Annie Motloch, Elizabeth Marek and his brothers, Frank Vrana, John Vrana, Joe Vrana, Stanley Vrana and Rudolph Vrana. He leaves behind 21 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Thursday April 24, 2008 with the Rosary to be recited at 7 P.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 A.M. at St. Helen Catholic Church, Georgetown, TX. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger, TX. Honored to serve as pallbearers are his grandchildren: Kenneth Dobias, Anthony Dobias, Deanna Dobias Krawczyk, Sid Dobias, Pam Dobias, Randy Dobias, Sheila Karkoska Craven, Paula Karkoska Lancaster, Keith Kubicek, Jason Kubicek, Troy Kubicek, David Kubicek, Valerie Vrana Gausemeier, Laura Vrana Coker, Debbie Vrana Coker, Vicki Vrana Popejoy, David Vrana, Chris Vrana, LeAnn Rychlik Randall, Stacie Rychlik and Ryan Rychlik. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to our friend and caregiver, Hollie Mae Rollie. Memorials in his name may be made to St. Helen Building Fund or to SSCM Catholic School in Granger.
