Ramona G; live CA ------------------------------------------- Hurlbert Rites Held Wednesday; Burial in Ord Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Hurlbert, 80 were held Wednesday afternoon at the Christian Church of Ord with pastors Tim Gilbert and Pastor J. H. Schroeder officiating. Mrs. Hurlbert died Oct. 19 at the Valley County Hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Sharon Fuss was soloist at the 3 pm service. Mrs. J. H. Schroeder was organist. Burial was at the Ord City Cemetery with Ron Hurlbert, Bruce Hurlbert, William Tietjens, Eldon Canfield and Robert Bates as pallbearers. The Hastings-Pearson Mortuary was in charge. Mrs. Hurlbert was born March 12, 1890 at Wisner. At an early age she moved to South Dakota and in 1927 she moved to Ord which had since been her home. She was a member of the Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hurlbert, whom she married June 1, 1914 at Tyndall, S.D.; one son Leo; one daughter Eva Mora; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. Survivors are four sons, Raymond, Verney and Orie, all of Ord and Lloyd of Whittier, Calif.; two daughters Mrs. Della Schwartz and Mrs. Myrtle Bregg, both of Omaha; 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
