Patsy Ruth Abrell, 77, former New Castle resident, living in Wytheville, Va passed away Saturday Feb. 6,2016 at her home. Patsy was born Oct. 19,1938 in Cantor, TX the daughter of the late James Edward and Bertie (Coone) Driver. She was the widow of retired Air Force Master Sgt. Larry Abrell and had worked on several military bases during her husband's career in the Air Force. She loved sharing time with her family. Survivors: 2 sons; Mark Abrell of Wasilla, Alaska and retired Army LTC Timothy (Lauri) Abell of Wytheville, Virginia. Four grandchildren: Kathleen (Jose) Melgarejo of Houston, TX, Shannon (Taylor) Vos of Knoxville, TN, Cpt. Steven Abrell USMC Camp LeJeune, NC, and Nikki Abrell of Anchorage, Alaska; two great-grandchildren: Sara and Audrey: one sister, Betty McFarland of Bastrop, TX; one brother, Johnny Turman of Dallas; one sister-in-law, Anita Abrell of New Castle and also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister Wanda Reese and one brother James Driver. Service were at Macer-Hall Funeral home & Cremation Services in New Castle on Feb. 13,2013. Burial followed at South Mound Cemetery.
