Services for Birtie E. Foster, 84, Brownsboro, were held Friday, April 9, at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel, Canton, with Brother Mike Newby officiating. Burial was in Cool Springs Cemetery, Van Zandt County. Mrs Foster died April 6, 1999 in a Tyler hospital. She was born February 18, 1915, in Gilmer to the late Johnny Elvis and Sarah Ann Mosher Coon. She lived in Canton for many years and married James Edward Driver. She moved to Brownsboro in 1985 and was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church, Brownsboro. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Mack Turman; and daughter Mary E. Arwine. Survivors include sons, James Driver, Bostrop, Johnny Turman and Ben Turman, both of Dallas; daughters, Wanda Reese and Betty McFarland, both of Brownsboro, and Patsy Abrell, Anchorage, Alaska; sisters, Lula Frances Byrd, Arlington and Mae Turner Bush, Mabank; brother, Buford Coon, Baker City, Ore; 11 grandchilden; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
