Rites Held For Edw. Kruml Sr. Edward J. Kruml Sr. was born December 3, 1910 in Ord, Nebraska to James and Rosalie Krecji Kruml, and died November 12, 1985 at the Valley County Hospital at the age of 74. Ed was raised on the family's farm north of Ord and attended Haskell Creek School. He was a graduate of Ord High School in 1928. He continued to farm on his family's home place. For a number of years he did a lot of professional wrestling around the state and the United States. He was married to Ethel Stephenson in June, 1941 at Ericson. Ed farmed and ranched five miles north of Ericson for a number of years and just three years ago moved from the ranch to make his home at Rolling Hills Manor in Ord. Edward was a member of the St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Ericson. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kruml Jr. of Ord; his daughter, Mrs. JoAnn Schinost of Lexington; five grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. J. G. Kruml of Council bluffs, IA, and George Kruml of Ord; one sister, Marie Carkoski of Grand Island. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were planned for Thursday, November 14 at 10 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord with Rev. Stanley C. Gorak and Rev. Edmund Placek officiating. Rosary was held Wednesday at 7:30 pm at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Burial was in the Ord City Cemetery. The Ord Quiz - Thur, Nov 14 1985, Pg 6, Col 3
