Gladys Cleota Lindsey Turman, 92, of Gladewater, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in Longview, Texas. Gladys Cleota Turman was born to James Arthur and Dessie Smith Dennis on October 25, 1923 in Oblong, Illinois. She was a resident of Gladewater for 60 years and a member of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Turman is survived by her daughter, Wanda Lee Jones; son and daughter-in-law, Grady and Cindy Lindsey; her beloved step-children, Ida Merle Davis, Charles Keith Turman, Norma Ruth Barrett, Billy Max Turman and Angie Capps; sister, Louise Black and sister-in-law, Violet Dennis; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 13 great great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and father of her children, Parley Jenson Lindsey, and her husband, Charlie Turman; brother, Oscar Dennis; sisters, Ella Mae Thompson and Bernadine Weger. Pallbearers are Mark Eads, Matthew Eads, Davis Roebuck, Lloyd Crabtree, Jacob Eads, Chad Lindsey, Cameron Johnson and Russ Roebuck.
