Bio

She was born in Oblong, Illinois, to Arthur and Dessie Smith Dennis. On September 5, 1933, she married Donald B. Thompson. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1984. She was a member of the Oblong Evangelical United Methodist Church, where she had been a member since 1924. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald & Norma Thompson and Roy Dean & Barbara Thompson, one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene & Donald Gawthorp seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law, Oscar & Violet Dennis, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Bernadine Weger, Louise & Bill Black and Gladys & Charles Turman, a special nephew Otis Potter who was raised by Arthur and Dessie Dennis and several nieces and nephews.
