Lillian (Snider) Bayer (Nov. 12, 1929 - Jan. 11, 2016) Lillian Williemae Snider Bayer, of Hewitt, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2016. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 15, at Waco Memorial Park. Rosary will begin at 6 p.m., with visitation following on Thursday, Jan. 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Lillian was born November 12, 1929, in Leroy, Texas, to George and Clara Wachsmann Snider. She graduated from La Vega High School and married James R. Bayer, Sr. on April 10, 1950. After rearing her seven children, she returned to school, earning her LVN degree in 1990. She retired from St. Catherine Center in 2007. Lillian was a longtime member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; infant grandson, Joseph Bayer; and all her siblings, Josephine, Flora, Tony, Lena, Janie, Andrew, Agnes, Rosa, Annie and Edmond. She is survived by her children, Katherine and Marty Kaylor, James Bayer Jr., John Bayer and Louise, Jerome and Kathy Bayer, Mary and Gus Paul, Theresa and Royal Brown and Sharon (Penny) and Joe Cox; 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
