Flora Christensen Doskocil, 96, of Waco, passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, at St. Catherine's Retirement Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Timothy Vaverek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours. Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. Flora was born in Tours, Texas, to the late George Anthony and Clara (Wachsmann) Snider. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Alter Society, and Catholic Daughters. She also worked at LaVega Schools, retiring in 1970. Flora's joy in life revolved around her sons and family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, the father of her three sons, Paul Christensen in 1942; and later married Ed Doskocil who passed away in 1986; a son, Kenneth Christensen, in 1984; and seven brothers and sisters. Survivors include her sons, Leonard Christensen and wife, Debbie, of Crawford, George Christensen and wife, Lillian, of Irving; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Agnes Veselka, Annie Veselka and Lillian Bayer, all of Waco; and several nieces and nephews.
