Graveside services for Albert "Junior" Woolverton, 75, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, at Roselawn Memorial Park in Seagoville with Brother B.J. Teer officiating. Mr. Woolverton died at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Rice, Texas, the son of Albert Hatten and Lillie Jane Hall Woolverton. He married Betty Joyce Coker, and later married Marie Day. She preceded him in death in 2001. Mr. Woolverton was a retired superintendent for Auto Glass Company. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Surviors include four sons, Terry Woolverton, David Woolverton, Ronnie Pfuhl and Mark Pfuhl; five daughters, Jeannie Collins Hutchinson, Janice Tipps, Sandra Arnold, Brenda Shannon and Karen Langley; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Arrangements are under the direction of Murray- Orwosky Funeral Home. Sulphur Springs News Telegram
