Bio
Emaline "Emma" Hill was born in Nebraska, the daughter of Margaret and Alexander Hill. In 1910 she was living in Houston, Texas, with her sister, Mary, and her family. Emaline Augusta Hill and William Joseph Conroy were married May 18, 1910, at Annunciation Church in Houston. They lived in Kansas and Utah, then moved to East Ely, Nevada, where William was employed as a brakeman for the railroad. After 1918 the family moved back to Kansas where her husband was still employed with the railroad as a fireman. Mrs. Emma Conroy passed away from heart disease at Providence Hospital. She lived with her family at 1536 South 37th in Kansas City, Kansas, and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Emma was the dear wife of William Conroy; loving mother of two sons, William Alexander and Clair Martin Conroy, and five daughters, Margaret Della, Bernice Agnes, Bernadine Lillian, Wilma Jean and Marie Glenine Conroy.
