R. D. McGlothlin Roscoe - R. D. (Dink) McGlothlin, 63, died at 10:45 p.m. Saturday at Simmons Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater. At the time of his death, Mr. McGlothlin lived at the Baker Hotel in Sweetwater. Funeral has been tentatively set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Methodist Church here with the Rev. C. R. LeMond, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the McGlothlin plot at Sweetwater Cemetery under direction of Wells Funeral Home of Roscoe. Born Jan. 18, 1904 in Portales, N.M., Mr. McGlothlin came to Fisher County with his parents in 1909. He moved to Sweetwater in 1925 and married Bonnah Smith in Sweetwater. Mr. McGlothlin served for many years as a driller for various oil field companies. Survivors include one son, Stephen of Saudia Arabia; one brother, Lynn of Inadale; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Clark of Roscoe and Mrs. Ruth Clark of Inadale; several nieces and nephews.
