Irma Agnes (Christian) Chance: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice Gazette, The (Colorado Springs, CO) - January 13, 2008 Deceased Name: Irma Agnes (Christian) Chance Irma was born on August 9, 1923 in Optimo, New Mexico to James Thomas and Ada “Uhrine” Christian. She passed away on January 8, at the age of 84. Irma was preceded by her son, Donald H. Chance, Jr. In the late 50’s. Irma lived in Denver working for General Electric Co. During that time she interviewed for a Management position with Avon Products, Inc. During 1960 she was hired as an Avon District Sales Manager being assigned to Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. She had in excess of 300 representative territories involved with over 265 Avon representatives on file at a given time. She spent many after-working hours conducting interviews, appointments, training classes, sales meetings etc. In 1988 after more than twenty-eight years of working for Avon, Irma retired as a Division Sales Manager. She had been responsible for the retention of the most successful and the hiring and training of all newly hired District Managers in the entire State of Colorado and the entire Western half of Kansas. Visitation will be Monday, January 14, 2008 at 10:00 am with services following at 11:00 am at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E.
