Mary Ann Hullett was born 26 Apr 1874 in Blount County, Alabama, and died 19 Feb 1935 in Blount County, Alabama. She was the daughter of George F. Hullett and Celia Caroline Dearman. She married Sidney Walter Buckner in Blount County, Alabama, son of John Coleman Buckner and Sylvania Tidwell. MRS. MARY BUCKNER Mrs. Mary Buckner, widow of the late Walter S. Buckner, died at her home on route 5, Oneonta, Tuesday night, Feb. 19th, after a brief illness. she was 60 years of age and a member of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Buckner was a well known and much loved woman in the community where she spent the greater part of her life. She is survived by four sons, Davis, Harley and Doyle Buckner, of Oneonta, route 5, and L.K. Buckner, of Bessemer; six daughters, Mrs. Oscar Harris, Mrs. Frank Burton and Miss Lottie Buckner, of Birmingham; Mrs. Herbert Armstrong, of Cullman; Ruth and Dena Buckner, of route 5, Oneonta; one sister, Mrs. Nan Murphree, of Oneonta, rouge 2, one brother, Britt Hillett, of Texas and her step-mother, Mrs. Mary Hullett, of Oneonta Funeral services were held at Antioch Wednesday and were conducted by Revs. W.A. Murphree, P.J. Jordan and Humphries, with Wade in charge. [The Southern Democrat, February 21, 1935]
