Parents: Henry and Pearl (Warford) Nehls Grew up in Arcadia and Kearney areas; attended school in Kearney Married: Dec. 28, 1960, to Ila Godfrey on the Godfrey family farm near Gibbon Worked for Dobberstein Roofing, West Co., Bob's Super Store and the Turkey Plant in Gibbon Favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren Survivors include his wife of Holdrege; son, Charlie of Nebraska City; daughters, Lillian Buettner of Holdrege and Arlene Jensen of Kearney; brothers, Leland of Grand Island, Len of Arcadia, Jess Holley of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Fred; sisters, Myrtle Klosterman of Kearney and Maxine Johnson of Lexington; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; also daughter-in-law, Retha Nehls of Nebraska City; sons-in-law, Joe Buettner of Holdrege and Dennis Jensen of Kearney; sisters-in-law, Virginia Nehls of Grand Island, Lorraine Nehls of Arcadia and Gladys Holley of Corpus Christi; and brothers-in-law, John Klosterman of Kearney and Ron Johnson of Lexington Was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild and one great-grandchild Kearney Hub, 26 October, 2007
