From "Aurora News-Register", Aurora, Nebraska dated Friday, October 30, 1953, Page 1: George Cameron Dies at Stockham Services for Native Of Hamilton County Held Tuesday George Cameron, a native of the Stockham community who had lived there his entire lifetime, passed away Friday afternoon at his home in Stockham. He farmed for many years but had lived in Stockham since he retired. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon in the Presbyterian church at Stockham, with the Rev. Orrin Skinner officiating. Burial was in the Stockham cemetery. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Harold Hedlund of Chicago; two sons, Joe in Oregon and Orville in Idaho; two brothers, Bill of Stockham and Fred of Sutton; and two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Fralick in California and Mrs. Mary Rowe of Fremont. ------------- From "Aurora News-Register", Aurora, Nebraska dated Friday, November 6, 1953, Page 1: Cameron Rites Held at Stockham Funeral Services Conducted for Native Of Hamilton County Funeral services for George F. Cameron, wo lived his entire lifetime in the Stockham vicinity, were held Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 27, in the Presbyterian church at Stockham. The Rev. Orrin Skinner officiated and burial was in the Stockham cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Tucker sang "Some Golden Daybreak" and "Beyond the Sunset," accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Don Traudt. Pallbearers were Norval Knoble, Harold Traudt, Evon Traudt, Charley Smith, John Hunter and Ernest Dahlke. George F. Cameron was born Feb. 12, 1878, a half-mile west of Stockham, the son of James E. and Anna E. Cummings Cameron. His entire lifetime was spent in that community. He was married to Maude A. Mintunon on March 28, 1906. Four children were born to them. One son died at the age of eight months. Mr. Cameron and his family took charge of the county farm in 1925 and remained for ten years. From there the family moved to the present home in Stockham, where he resided at the time of his death. Survivors, in addition to his wife include three children, Orville H. of Belleview, Ida., Cometa M. Hedlund of Chicago, Ill., and Joe J. of Hillsboro, Ore.; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Fralick of Whittier, Calif., Mrs. Mary Rowe of Fremont, Mrs. Anna Chorn, Boise, Ida.; two brothers, William of Stockham and Fred of Sutton. In addition to his parents and son he was preceded in death by four brothers.
