Bio

Maxine A. Dunham, the daughter of Herman and Nora (Reichert) Ross, was born at Stockham, Nebraska, on August 11, 1927, and died at her home in Aurora, Nebraska, on January 31, 1995, at the age of 67 years, 5 months, and 20 days. She grew up in the Stockham area, and graduated from Aurora High School. On October 16, 1946, she was united in marriage to George Walter Dunham at her parent's home. They resided in Aurora, and Maxine was employed as head cook at the Aurora Elementary School for many years. She was a member of the Aurora V.F.W. Auxiliary, and enjoyed the outdoors and spending her time at the lake. She was preceded in death by her parents. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband Walt of Aurora; one son Rev. Mark Dunham and his wife Joyce of Aurora; two brothers, Kenneth Ross of Central City, and Gene Ross of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister Arlene DeMaranville of Aurora; and two grandsons Seth and Ryan Dunham.
