TYLER - Paul Spence, 69, of Tyler, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002. He was born Aug. 16, 1932, in Fort Worth, to the late Cary and Gussie Hllburn Spence. He was a retired division manager for GTE and a member of Rose Heights Church of God in Tyler. He was a former member of Lions Club and Rotary Club, a sergeant with Reserve Officers of Freestone County Sheriff's Department and as a counselor and hotline worker with Smith County Women's Crisis Center. Preceded in death by: first wife, Jody Spence; and parents. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Pineview Baptist Church of Winnsboro, the Rev. Ronnie Spence officiating. Funeral will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola Beeaty Funeral Home, Winnsboro, 903-342-5211 Pallbearers: family members.
