The Minden (La) Herald & The Webster News (Dec. 28, 1945) Carter R. Frazier Prominent Citizen, Mail Carrier, Dies Carter Randolph Frazier, 60, prominent Minden citizen and rural mail carrier here for 39 years, died early Monday morning in a local sanitarium, following a month's illness. Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Methodist church here with the Rev. N.E. Joyner officiating. Burial was in the Minden cemetery, with the Green-Kleinegger funeral home in charge. Mr. Frazier was a member of the chamber of commerce of Minden, a member of the Lions club, Knights of Pythias, Knights of D.O.K.K., and served on the executive board of Rural Letter Carriers Assn., of Louisiana. He was a past chairman of the American Red Cross chapter of Minden in which capacity he had served about 10 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Gertrude Sexton Frazier of Minden; two sons, J.C. Frazier of Minden and Lt. (j.g.) Eugene Frazier serving with the Navy in the Pacific two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Kremen of Minneapolis, Minn., and Miss Ladell Frazier of San Angelo, Texas; two brothers: Cliff Frazier of Dallas, Texas, and Grady Frazier of Odessa, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. P.B. Hackworth of Nederland, Texas, and Mrs. S.A. Cochran of Tyler, Texas; three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Cecil Miles, Buren Perritt, Albert Thompson, Jasper Goodwill, Grover Monzingo and Tom Creighton.
