Services for Mrs. Lottie Adams , 72, of Ridgeway were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Dr. Charles Redmond officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Cumby. She died at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, August 29 in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Adams was born August 8, 1909 in Hopkins County to Ed and Lucy Finley Sloan. She married Bascom Gilbert Adams on January 10, 1926 in Ridgeway. He preceded her in death in 1969. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Sulphur Springs First Baptist Church. Survivors include six sons, Billy G. Adams of Hitchcock, Dalton Adams of Irving, Malcolm Adams of Porter, Douglas Adams of Sulphur Springs, Jerry Adams of Duncanville and Paul Ray Adams of Houston: a daughter, Mrs. Melba Scott of Dallas: five sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Hood and Mrs. Jodie Denton, both of sulphur Springs, Mrs. Georgia Webb of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mrs. Oleta Broyles of the Brannom community and Mrs. Ester Close of Kilgore: 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
