Rollon L Weaver, 79, completed his journey on July 21, 2006. He was born March 27, 1927, to Robert T. and Lucy Weaver, in DeSoto, Texas and was one of 14 children. Rollon resided most recently in Round Rock as a loving husband to Glenda Weaver, an adoring father to Teresa Harlan, Linda Tieken, and Shannon Floyd, a proud grandfather to Andrew and Jonathan Tieken, Cameron and Sarah Adams and Alexis and Natalie Floyd. A lover of vintage Model A Fords he challenged himself to keep them running as the only two things he hated in life were Model A's that won't run and people who can't get along. A brilliant man, Rollon served for 33 years in the United States Army in World War II, Korea and Vietnam before retiring as Chief Warrant Officer 4. Upon his retirement he began work for the U.S. Department of Defense as a Special Intelligence Agent. He retired yet again to his life as a devoted member of the Lone Star Model A Ford Club, ever-present family member and loyal friend. He was a man who was larger than life, one who exuded a quiet power that intimidated and soothed everyone with whom he came in contact. There was never a doubt that this was a great person. In the end he embraced his passing and shared with his family and friends the fact that, "dying is easy, all you have to do is show up." And he did. He was the true definition of an honorable man. He showed up just as he had to every event in the lives of those he influenced. Along with his loving family, Rollon is survived by his respected sons-in-law, Richard Tieken and Ian Floyd, Brothers Norman and Ern Lee Weaver, Sisters Irene Cretien, Patsy DeHart and Jane Curry and an uncountable number of nieces, nephews and friends. We miss you and we love you. Funeral Services were Monday, July 24 at The Gabriels. Burial with full Military Honors followed at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Georgetown, Texas.
