The Casper Tribune-Herald Wednesday, August 6, 1958 Page 2 Mrs. Coltrane Is Dead at 85 Mrs. Mary E. Coltrane, 85, died late Tuesday afternoon in Broken Bow, Neb. The former Casper resident has lived in Broken Bow for the past several years. Mrs. Coltrane was born Oct. 20, 1872, in East Peoria, Ill. When 10 years of age the family moved to Sargent, Neb., where she was reared and schooled. She married Harris M. Coltrane in Sargent on March 9, 1892, and they resided in Sargent for nearly 40 years, moving to Twin Falls, Idaho, and then to Casper in 1942. Her husband died in 1950 and Mrs. Coltrane remained in Casper until just a few years ago, when she moved back to Broken Bow, Neb. She is survived by four sons, Lloyd of High Point, N. C., Lindsey of Kilgore, Tex., Hugh of Tucson, Ariz., C. M. Coltrane of Casper; two brothers, three sisters, seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The body will be transferred to Casper for services tentatively set for Friday and burial beside the body of her husband. Either flowers or donations to the Wyoming Association for Retarded Children will be equally appreciated.
