Bio
Della Mae (Snyder) Laudenklos was born to her loving caring parents John A. and Eliza L. (West) Snyder on Saturday August 29, 1891 at Springfield, Greene County Missouri. Della's family moved to Edholm, Butler County Nebraska which is located near Schuyler when she was eight and then to North Bend, Dodge County in 1918. Della Snyder was united in marriage to Charles Laudenklos on Tuesday March 10, 1914, they were blessed over the years of their marriage with four daughters and a son. Della studied very hard in 1939 through a home study course to become a practical nurse, she was then employed by Dr. John C. Hubenbecker until his death on November 9, 1962. As a child K. R. Newsom knew Charles, Della and their children, Keith's folks were neighbors on East 7th Street. Charles preceded Della in death on Saturday June 22, 1946. Della moved to Birchwood Manor in 1990. Della was a member of the former Christian Church of North Bend until it closed and also belonged to the North Bend VFW Auxiliary. Della was featured in the North Bend Eagle in August 1991 when she celebrated her 100th birthday. Sadly Della passed on Tuesday December 31, 1991 at the Fremont Dodge County Hospital at the age of 100 years, 4 months, 2 days which does not include her last day, she lived a total of 36,648 days. A funeral service was held on Saturday afternoon January 4, 1992 at the Moser Memorial Chapel of North Bend with Rev. Hiram Lilley of First United Methodist Church officiating. Della was interred in section n, block 620, plot 3 in Woodland Cemetery. Della's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory.
