The Herald Leader Wednesday, April 21, 2004 Marvin Harvey Browers Marvin Harvey Browers, 87, of Decatur, Ark., died April 19, 2004 at his residence. Born July 1, 1916 in Lincoln, Ark., he was the son of Harvey William Browers and Gertrude Caughron Browers. He lived most of his life in Northwest Arkansas. He was a farmer and retired from Peterson Farms as an assistant manager of the hatchery. He was a member of Gentry Missionary Baptist Church for 50 years, where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by two grandsons; two sisters, Norma Allen and Jean Browers; and two brothers, Emery Browers and Jack Browers. Survivors include his wife, Grace McKinney Browers of the home; two sons, Marvin L. Browers of Decatur, and Jerry Dean Browers of Conway, Ark.; four daughters, Darlene McClellan, of Lincoln, and Vickie Shields, of Gentry, Ark., Jeannie Browers of Denver, Colo., and Pam Duncan of Summers, Ark.; 16 grandchildren 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Leta Mae McKinney of Longmont, Colo., and Vola Weeks of Siloam Springs, Ark. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. April 21 at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. April 22 at Gentry Missionary Baptist Church, with pastor Larry Hendren officiating. Burial will follow in Falling Springs Cemetery, near Decatur. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
