Bio
Early Life: Connie was born December 6, 1948, in American Fork, Utah, to Elmer Dwayne and Shirley Ann Brown Heaps. Life's Work/Service/Interests: In 1970, she married her eternal companion, Jim. They had three children: Paul (Becky), Melinda and Stephanie. The name “Grandma Connie” came from dedicating her life to children. She was able to run a daycare service from her home for many years. Her other love was Scouting to which she held many different positions. She was able to receive her Silver Beaver and Women of Scouting Awards. Connie Rae Heaps Maland returned to her Heavenly Father on July 15, 2015. She passed at home surrounded by her family. Survived By: Her three children, seven grandkids, and four brothers: Tom (Susan), Joe (Boni-Deceased), Adin (Susan) and Mark (Laurie). Preceded In Death By: Her husband, Jim; her parents; sister-in-law, Boni; parents; and in-laws.
