Funeral services for Jeffie Dell McCoy, 89, of Huntington will be held in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery. Mrs. McCoy was born May 23, 1926 in the Salem Community of Angelina County, Texas to the late Roxie Ann (Ivy) and Charlie Edward Walker, and died Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in a local nursing home. Mrs. McCoy had resided in the Huntington area most of her life. She traveled extensively with her husband, Andrew McCoy, when he worked in the oil well drilling industry. Mrs. McCoy loved her many friends at the First Ora Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member for over 40 years. Survivors include her sisters and brother-in-law, Iva Nell Thornton and Margie and Joe Harris, all of Huntington, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Dr. Lenin Pinnamaneni’s family was dear to her, as she served many years as their housekeeper and nanny. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew Johnson McCoy; brothers, Loyd Walker, Berlon Walker and R.B. Walker; sister, Pauline Colwell; and sisters-in-law, Eliza Walker and Lorene Walker. Pallbearers will be... Honorary pallbearers... Carroway Funeral Home, Huntington, directors. July 1, 2015.
