Among some of his interests were a love of music, from the classics to Blue Grass, fishing, and gardening. He was meticulous about his yard. Doug was an avid reader and supporter of the Slaton Library. His love of reading led to a close friendship with librarians, Kim and Ola and fellow reader, Suzanne. He cherished his community of coffee drinkers and friends at O.D. Kenney's where he spent many happy afternoons. He will leave a long legacy of memories.
