Bio

Barbara Jean Moore, 80, of Rosebud, died Thursday, June 17, 2015, in a McGregor Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2015, at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015, in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. The Rev. Don Fulton and the Rev. Oscar Smart officiating. Burial will follow in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud. Barbara Jean was born in Gorman, Texas, to the late Clarence Woodrow and Louise Pauline Schupp Coan. She graduated from Waco High School in 1953 and worked for the Owens Illinois Glass Plant in Waco. Barbara married Gene Moore on February 13, 1954, and they moved to the Rosebud area in 1975. She was a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Jeff Moore and wife, Russ Ann, of Waco; daughter, Cheryl Jones and husband, Mike, of Magnolia; grandchildren: Amanda Burke, Trevor Jones, Casey Miller, Jessica Moore, and Alyssa Moore; great-grandchild, Cierra Burke; sisters, Edwinna Green, of Penelope, and Twala Hughes, of Chilton; other relatives and many friends.
