Services for Lureta Snow Davis, 81, of Hawkins will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Perry Cowan officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Upshur County. Mrs. Davis passed away Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, in Tyler. Mrs. Davis, a homemaker and a member of Shady Grove Church of Christ, was born July 7, 1923, to Lonnie and Charo Pilcher Poole in Wood County. She was preceded in death by husband Roy Snow in 1988. Mrs. Davis is survived by husband Sherman Davis of Hawkins; her daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Ronnie Denton of Shady Grove and Kathy and Darrell Gage of Shady Grove; her sons, Dalton Davis of Rockwall, Larry Davis of Trophy Club, Lindley Davis of Katy and Frank Davis of The Woodlands; three brothers, Jessie Poole of Fruitvale, Richard Poole of Big Sandy and Paul Poole of Gainesville; one sister, Catherine Belcher of Mesquite; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Snow, Don Snow, Joe Snow, David Snow, Charles Poole and David Green. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today, Oct. 30, at the funeral home.
