Obituary from Idaho State Journal (Pocatello, ID) - Tuesday, August 7, 2001: STERLING - June Kendall died in her home in Sterling, Idaho, on Saturday, August 4, 2001. She was 78 years old. The family will meet with friends and relatives Wednesday evening, August 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Davis Mortuary in American Falls, Idaho, and Thursday, August 9 from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Aberdeen, Idaho. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Aberdeen Cemetery. June was born June 16, 1923, in her parent's home in Hunter, Utah. She was the daughter of John Leslie Andreason and Myrtle Duffin Andreason. She married Waldo E. Kendall on January 1, 1944, in Aberdeen, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 26, 1980. She lived, worked and raised her family in Aberdeen until 1985 when, after Waldo's death, she sold the farm and settled in Boise. In 2000, she moved back to the Aberdeen area. June loved to quilt and sew. She sewed not only for her family but for others in the community. Her quilting talents were much appreciated and called upon by family and friends. She had a caring, loving and a very giving spirit to her family, friends and those whose life she touched. June was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the Lord and while in Boise served as a temple supervisor and worker. She spent many hours serving and doing the Lord's work. For seven years she volunteered at the LDS Family Services in Boise, working a lot with the adoption program. She had served in the Relief Society, the Primary, Junior Sunday school, and was a visiting teacher. She is survived by her children, Marcia Sullivan, Pocatello, Cheryl (Richard) Koompin, Sterling, Idaho, Janet (Jim) Long, Boise, Idaho, Brad Kendall, Heber City, Utah, Pam (Kirk) Thomas, Ketchikan, Alaska; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John R. Duffin, Pocatello, Idaho, Lynn Andreason, Seminole, Texas; one stepbrother, Frank Anderson, Twin Falls, Idaho; one stepsister, Lorraine Call, Twin Falls, Idaho; one half-brother, Gary Andreason, Twin Falls, Idaho; two half-sisters, MarJean King, American Fork, Utah, Gail Broadhead, Boerne, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, Byron, one sister, Ardith, one stepbrother, LaMar, and one stepsister, Rhea May.
