Gary H. Andreason, 66, of Filer, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 4, 2007. Gary was born June 2, 1941, to John Leslie Andreason and Myrtle Hardman, and grew up in Filer on the family farm. Gary graduated from Twin Falls High School and attended Idaho State University, where he received a technical degree in auto mechanics. He married Lea Lorraine Egbert on July 19, 1968, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in a bishopric, Sunday school presidency, and was currently serving as a genealogy consultant. He was also active in the Scouting program, serving as Scoutmaster and as Wood Badge staff. He served a mission in the Eastern Atlantic States Mission. Gary retired from the Amalgamated Sugar Factory. Gary was unable to serve in the military due to his heart condition. Gary is survived by his wife, Lea; children, Robert Andreason, Chris (Les) Hedges of Declo, Lynn Andreason of Los Angeles and Kim (Eric) Dorman of Virginia; eight grandchildren; brothers, John Duffin of Idaho Falls, Frank Anderson of Twin Falls, Lynn Andreason of Washington; and sisters, Marjean King of Utah and Gail Broadhead of Arizona.
