Ruby Lee Brune DeDear, 86, of Columbus, Texas, and formerly from Victoria, Texas, passed away on May 31, 2015, in Columbus, Texas. She was born on March 16, 1929, to Max August Albert Brune and Freida Rita Klimple Brune in Columbus, Texas. On July 23, 1949, she married Melton Cecil "Buddy" DeDear. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus, and lived the past two years in Columbus. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Linda A. Poole and husband, Jeffrey R., of St. Louis, Missouri; sisters, Margaret Brune Zajicek and husband, Raymond Edward, of Columbus, Texas, and Evelyn Emily Brune Neuendorff- Doughitt and husband, William Goble "Bill" Jr., of Pasadena, Texas; three grandchildren, Jason Cassell and wife, Tiffanie, Nathon Cassell and fiancée, Tiffany, and Kayla Cassell and fiancé, Chris Richey; eight great-grandchildren, Jaizac Garcia, Jaiden Garcia, Jaicee Garcia, Faith Cassell, Chelsea Robson, Brian Mock and fiancée, Samantha Barmett, Brandon Hart, and Aubreigh Hart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max August Albert and Freida Rita Klimple Brune; husband, Melton Cecil "Buddy" DeDear; brothers, Max Edward "Toby" Brune Sr. and Harold James "Bubba" Brune; sisters, Delores Brune, and Lillian D. Brune Kucherka; and great-grandson, Michael C. Cassell. Visitation will be held at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. A Parish Rosary will be held at Saint Anthony Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus, with Friar Augustine N. Asante officiating. Burial will take place in Saint Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Columbus. Pallbearers are Jason Cassell, Nathon Cassell, Jaizac Garcia, Brian Mock, Jason Cassell, Larry Zajicek, and Dennis Kucherka. Chelsea Robson will be serving as a honorary pallbearer.
