Bio
Douglas E. McKenzie, 94 of Austin, Texas passed away on May 31, 2015. He was born in Littig, Texas on August 10, 1920. He was married to Mildred Eisenbeck McKenzie for 72 years. He worked as a Building Contractor for 30 years and he served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II and Civilian Conservation Corps. Douglas is preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings. He is survived by his wife Mildred, their son Gary and wife Jerlynn, granddaughters Sheri Miller (Bobby), Kristi McKenzie, five great-grandchildren Jacob, Corbin, Luke, Kayla and Kyle. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas Funeral services will be conducted in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
